The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department works diligently to register and track convicted sex offenders for the safety of the citizens.
A detective assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division oversees the registry for Jefferson County by registering sex offenders, updating registration information, taking criminal charges for violators and arresting absconders.
Registration information is forwarded to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations and is posted on the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry website. Search the offender database or learn more about sex offender registration requirements at the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry website.
If you have information that a sex offender is living in Jefferson County and has not registered, or that a registered offender is no longer living at his/her address, contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department immediately.
